2019 is the 7th Annual Haggs Horizons Unlimited Adventure Meet.
Check out the video from 2017.
An activity weekend with lots of opportunities to get out and explore the North Pennines – England’s Last Wilderness up on the Roof of England.
As usual Friday night will be time to chill out, share stories around the bonfire and sample a few local beers, ready for an action packed weekend!
On Saturday you will be spoilt for choice with all the adventures you could have!
There are Trail rides, suitable for all abilities and experience levels, to explore the local area and try out your riding skills. These rides last from 3 to 6 hours, taking in parts of the TET route along the way!
If you prefer to stay on tarmac, join a guided road tour and enjoy the local scenery with the opportunity to head across to the Lake District or Scottish Borders for the day! The views are just stunning up here on the ‘Roof of England’!
Explore the underground world of the lead miner with a guided tour down Smallcleugh Mine.
We will also have electric bicycles available for hire with suggested routes; maps of local walks, whether it’s a gentle stroll or energetic hike you’re after! and reduced entry to many local attractions including Killhope Lead Mining Museum a real gem to discover the amazing industrial heritage of this stunning area.
On Saturday night after you’ve got back and grabbed a shower, we have live music, a bonfire and well stocked bar with local beers from the Allendale brewery as well as BBQ and Donner Kebab cooked on an open spit !
Sunday Morning is a real highlight for many visitors, with the chance to watch the famous Beamish Trophy Trial which runs up the track next to our site. This is an historic event for motorbikes, sidecars and 3 wheeled vehicles manufactured before 1980!
Their description of the Haggs Bank section….. For cars and especially three-wheelers, Haggs Bank is passable with skill, a little luck and a bit of momentum on the corners!
It’s great fun to watch the trials, tribulations and sheer skill of some of the riders and with over 120 entering the competition there’s plenty of fun to be had!
We also offer half price accommodation to anyone wishing to extend their weekend either before or after the event. Contact us directly after you have booked your event pass for the weekend on info@haggsbank.com if you are interested in this option.
