2025 sees the
12th Annual Haggs Adventure Meet.
An activity weekend with lots of opportunities to get out and explore the North Pennines –
England’s Last Wilderness up on the Roof of England.
As usual Friday night will be time to chill out, share stories around the bonfire and sample a few local beers, ready for an action packed weekend!
On Saturday you will be spoilt for choice with all the adventures you could have!
There are Trail rides, suitable for all abilities and experience levels, to explore the local area and try out your riding skills.
These rides last from 3 to 6 hours, many taking in parts of the TET route along the way!
If you prefer to stay on tarmac, join a guided road tour and enjoy the local scenery with the opportunity to head across to the Lake District or Scottish Borders for the day! The views are just stunning up here on the ‘Roof of England’!
On Saturday night after you’ve got back and grabbed a shower, we have live music, a bonfire and well stocked bar with local beers from the Allendale brewery as well as BBQ and Donner Kebab cooked on a Wood Fired Spit !
Sunday Morning is the return of a popular event, with the chance to explore some of the underworld! – We have a qualified mine guide – taking small groups into the Labyrinth of Nenthead Mines. You’ll need some extra clothing for this – and will need to book it in advance, so please let us know in the booking details.
We also offer half price accommodation to anyone wishing to extend their weekend either before or after the event. Contact us directly after you have booked your event pass for the weekend on info@haggsbank.com if you are interested in this option.
Scenic Camping – Either on our terraced view area, or in the small woodland – which is ideal to try out your hammock.
Bunkhouse – Luxury, leave your camping kit at home – bedding is all included.
Campervans/Motorhomes – please add your vehicle registration into the additional info box.
RIDE OUTS – There will be lots of photo opportunities to capture memories of the day, and a lunch stop somewhere!
All rides will take in spectacular scenery in the region, great photo opportunities and led by riders with great local knowledge!
Ride-Outs typically return at 5/6pm – If you want to ride with friends – put their names in the additional notes/comments section.
Trail Ride – Big Bikes, Easy Going – Ideal for the bigger, Adventure Type Bikes – with a 50/50 Trail Tyre
Trail Ride – Big Bikes, Big Day – Medium/big bikes on Knobbly tyres and riders with green laning experience a must!
Trail Ride – Enduro Bikes – sub 130kgs, sub 500cc, . Knobbly tyres and green lane riding experience a must! (usually shorter fuel range)
Trail Ride – Regular Rider – You’ve got a trail-biased tyre, and regularly go greenlaning. Ideal for up to small to mid size trail bikes.
Trail Ride – Easy Rider – Beginner friendly, for those new to green laning/trail riding. There will be lots of photo opportunities. Ideal for all size trail bikes.
Road only – Full Day – Duration, circa 200 miles, a full day of riding, from 9:30am to 5pm – lunch stop location to be confirmed (could be a pub, a cafe, or a cheese factory!)
Road only – Shorter Day – Duration, circa 120 miles, 6 hours riding, from 9:30am to 6pm – lunch stop location to be confirmed.
None – You’re not riding, or riding with your own group of friends, or riding solo!
Please remember – only YOU know your own ability. If you are finding it difficult – inform your run leader. We want you to be safe and have fun! This isn’t competitive!
NOTE: – We are reasonable people and expect the same from you.
Space onsite is limited, – Awnings – most are permitted, however, if space is limited, or your awning is large – we may ask you to not to erect / charge a small additional fee – please ask us on arrival.
Box trailers – you may have to detach and have your trailer stored away from your main live in vehicle.
Day Vans/Sleeping in your vehicle – please do not book as CAMPING – Camping tickets are for tents / hammocks.
If you plan to sleep in your vehicle, please book as camper van – as we need to know how much space is required.
